RIB Reef cubes in a Box
RIB: Reef cubes In a Box

Challenge
While ARC marine serves a range of sectors from aquaculture and coastal defence to oil and gas, its primary focus is the rapidly growing offshore wind industry. This positions them as a potentially key supplier to a strategically important sector for Cornwall, aligning environmental innovation with regional economic growth.

Solution
The funding will support the development of new moulds and the purchase of essential deployment equipment such as lifting gear, rigging, and scientific tools for conducting biological assessments in the field. This investment will quadruple ARC’s manufacturing capacity, enabling the company to expand its operations, increase exports, and create new jobs locally.
ARC marine is an award-winning eco-engineering company that delivers innovative, nature-inclusive solutions to traditional marine industries. They specialise in the design, manufacture, installation, and monitoring of subsea protection structures, while studying marine biodiversity through its patented products.
Based in Truro, Cornwall for the past seven years, they are deeply rooted in the local economy. The expansion of its manufacturing base will not only strengthen its presence in the region but also generate wider benefits for local supply chains, including suppliers of raw materials and equipment used in the production of its Reef cubes.
